Old (three years) character designs for a (still) unfinished Holiday animation.
autoguap asked: Have you ever thought about doing collaborations with musicians?
Oh, ya. Every fucking day.
I’m not being a sarcastic shit. I would love to make a living animating music videos. Seriously. If I could sit around all night listening to rad tunes and making pretty things, I would be the happiest ne’er-do-well around.
(Oh, and I wouldn’t mind the occasional project that doesn’t result in $$$. I just have to be really emotionally or intellectually invested. Which may be what you’re actually asking…)
Anonymous asked: oh my gosh, i love your Sin illustration SO MUCH, and am hoping to buy it sooner rather than later (broke as hell). but i wanted to ask, what was your reason for choosing an apple and leaves as the items in it?
I love when people want to buy my work, but worry about being not broke as hell, first. Feed thyself, clothe thyself, nurture thyself (…if nurturing means you absolutely must buy a print, ok, that’s very nice of you).
And my reason for the apple is rather clichéd…Western Europe often depicts Eden’s forbidden fruit as an apple, and, while the piece isn’t meant to be religious in nature (although the prompt was ‘Sin’), I took that little bit of religion and fanned the leaves behind the apple like a ‘halo’.
